  • Computerized Real Property Taxation System, installed in Q2 2007 and implemented in January 2008, consisting of –
    • Amellar RPTA including software licenses for Oracle 10g and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (Unlimited users) and application software customization.
    • Technical supervision over the database construction, which includes the build-up, cleansing, and reconciliation of digital records at the Business Promotion and Development Office (BPDO) and CTO and database migration and integration of existing SQL Server database into Oracle database.
    • Hardware and WAN/LAN, which includes IBM database and file servers, IBM data storage subsystem, Canon high-speed scanners, Cisco switch and appliance, IBM workstations, OKI printers, and a structured network with giganet Ethernet.
    • Project management, which includes technical consulting on RPTA and onsite technical support during the 1st quarter implementation of RPTA online.
    • Training consisting of trainers’ training, users’ hands-on training, district officers and supervisors’ training, practice and simulated sessions, refresher courses, administrator’s training, and strategic planning seminar.
  • Technical support.
Major Accomplishments
  • Identified real property tax delinquencies amounting to more than PhP1.3 Billion as of May 16, 2008.
  • Improved the billing and collection process by promoting transparency, fairness and uniformity in assessment and payment of taxes, fees, and other charges.
  • Sorted out duplicate or erroneous records maintained in the manual system.
  • Linked the assessment and collection operations of remote district offices of the City Assessor’s and Treasurer’s Offices.
