• Geographic Information System (GIS), installed and implemented in 2000, consisting of –
  • New Digital Color Orthophotos. Color aerial photography, ground control surveys, orthophotomosaics with 1-meter contour data, and oblique photography.
  • Digital Maps. Polygon coverage of land parcels, buildings footprints and other structures, streets, and water bodies; polyline coverage of streets and water bodies; topographic data. All vector data are compiled as ArcView projects with pre-defined legends and cartograms.
  • GIS Software and Applications. Software licenses and customized GIS application with pre-defined legends and thematic maps.
  • Hardware and LAN. IBM server, Compaq workstations, HP color printers, NovaJet plotter, and 10-node structured network.
  • Training and technical support.

• Identified more than 12,000 undeclared buildings.
• Supported the public auction of delinquent real properties.
• Utilized GIS in designing new access roads.
• Identified under-declared building structures for reassessment.
• Plotted landmarks for planning purposes.
• Matched more than 25,000 land parcels or 89.4% of the total RPTA digital records.
