Amellar Passes Baton to Malolos

The latest on Malolos City: BPLS Final Report & RPTA/GIS Progress Report

As Malolos City’s committed e-government partner, Amellar presented the latest status of the Fiscal Modernization Program of Malolos City (FMPM) to the Project Management Board last October 14, 2008 at the City Mayor’s Office.  Specifically, Amellar presented the Final Report for the BPLS System, and the latest on the RPTA and GIS Systems.

Manila Training for Amellar Business Mapping as Part of Manila GIS Project (MGISP)

As part of the Manila GIS Project (MGISP), Amellar’s finest developers assembled for the Business Mapping training held at the Mabuhay Office in Manila cityhall last 5th to 7th of September 2007. The said training was attended by the officials and staff from the different departments and offices of Manila local government.

The first two days of the training was mainly spend for proper map printing procedures, this has to be concise and error free from the very details of building ID, landmarks to road names. Map printout is one of the main visual tools used by the field surveyors for business surveys. The trainees were oriented on principles of the GIS technology to the application introduction of Business Mapping application. Hands-on training was carefully supervised from handling the actual printer and map orientation management.

The next batches of trainees are the field surveyors. Their main task is to discover every existing business within their area of responsibility and to plot it on the map to tie-up the location of the business with its database records. Surveyors’ training lasted a day which consists of map readings and record gathering of business such as business identification number (BIN), business license issued by the city, category of business.

The trainer team was headed by Mr. Allan Javier with Mr. Rogelio Betito, Ms. Rachel Calixto and Mr. Godfrey Edra of Amellar Solutions.
