Inside the sprawling conference room of Calambaâ€™s Regional DILG Office, the management and implementation teams of both Amellar and Calamba officially convened for the first time since the projectâ€™s launching. This time around, Amellar Solutions presented an Inception Report before the PMB and TWG*, which highlighted delivered items, findings on the process flows, encoding status, and the next immediate activities. This event, held on July 14, 2011, aims to level expectations and ensures common understanding of the project components among the stakeholders.
The months of April, June and July were rife with completed implementation activities for MRES. Allan Javier, Assistant Project Manager from Amellar, detailed these activities in the timeline review. Amellar has so far delivered all hardware, set up the encoding area, recruited and trained encoders, scanned manual records, and facilitated the FGDs with concerned offices, among others. Current activities are encoding and software customization.
Allan also showed a graphical illustration of Calambaâ€™s existing process flows for its RPT and business transactions, followed by default process flows in an automated setup which the PMB and TWG will further review.
As of July 7, encoding is 100% finished for business records, 20.5% for CAO records, and 32.3% for parcel maps conversion. These are pegged to be finished on or before July 21, September 30, and November, respectively.
In the coming weeks and months, expect to be part of more exciting activities and briefings that Amellar will be conducting to ensure that the MRES is successful and sustainable.
